Debunking Disinformation and Defense
Arguably one of the most pressing threats to national security today is the rapid spread of disinformation. A dramatic shift in recent years, particularly on social media, outlines the dangers of edited videos, photos and the like to portray inaccurate information. What role does artificial intelligence play in these deep fakes and how are leaders approaching their dangers? What role, if any, can technology play in debunking deep fakes and authenticating accurate information? During this session, Nextgov convenes a panel of experts to discuss both the technical and cultural implications of automating protections and authenticating digital information.
